Description
The Elevating Black Excellence Regional Summit Series will showcase the talents of Black partners* before an audience of influential in-house counsel. This one-day event, conducted exclusively over a virtual platform, will include insight from partners in specialties across the legal spectrum.
Sessions will spotlight Black partners with expertise across seven practice areas: M&A, Litigation, Compliance and Investigations, Privacy & Data Protection, Energy Policy, Hot Topics and Labor & Employment.
All numbered sessions are CLE eligible. Each one-hour session throughout the day will be moderated by an in-house counsel and feature three Black partners from nationally-ranked law firms.
*Includes equity partners, non-equity partners, and senior counsel.
Background
The Elevating Black Excellence Regional Summit Series is a unique and powerful event addressing some of the most frequently asked questions among in-house counsel:
- How do we learn about and engage Black partners?
- Who has the legal background and experience we need for a particular matter?
Boardrooms across the country are placing increased emphasis on the hiring of Black partners. With no formal platform to identify them, and corporations struggling to answer these questions, Black partners continue to be underutilized for high-profile corporate legal work.

Attendees will get to explore and learn in sessions from many different speakers. At the conclusion of the event, members of in-house legal teams will be offered access to a comprehensive outside counsel search platform to learn more about each individual participating Black partner.
